Texas, All Saints and Gabrielle on line up for SoundWaves 2014

A TRIO of top names are heading to the North East for an open air bank holiday concert.

Scottish group Texas, who stormed the charts with a string of hits including Say What You Want and Black Eyed Boy, will be performing at Bents Park, South Shields, on Saturday.

They’ll be joined for SoundWaves 2014 by recently reunited girl group All Saints, who won a host of awards, including two BRITS, thanks to the success of top-selling singles such as Never Ever, The Beach and Pure 

Soul singer Gabrielle, who is currently celebrating two decades in music, is also on the bill and will be performing some of her top 10 singles, including number one hits Rise and Out of Reach.

SoundWaves 2014, organised by South Tyneside Council, will also feature an appearance by rising star Lulu James, who is currently touring across Europe. Tickets for SoundWaves 2014, which are currently being sold on a two for one basis, are priced at £30 for adults and £20 for ages five to 16.

Gates will open at 4.30pm, with performances set to end at about 9.30pm.
