ROCK legend Bruce Springsteen will hop from Sunderland’s Stadium of Light to the Isle of Wight to headline the island’s music festival.

It’s been 10 years since the famous festival, held this year on June 22-24, was revived and the 2012 line-up reflects what will be a real celebration.

Springsteen is at the Stadium of Light on June 21 and will headline a stunning Sunday on the main stage at IoW that also features Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and The Vaccines.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers headline the main stage on Friday with Elbow, Example, Noah and the Whale and Feeder among the other bands performing.

Saturday sees Pearl Jam as headliners with Scots rockers Biffy Clyro, Tinie Tempah, Madness and Labrinth also confirmed for the main stage.

The list of acts on the smaller stages includes Groove Armada, Professor Green, The Darkness, Loick Essien and Crystal Castles.
