CARDIFF six-piece Among Brothers are bringing their experimental blend of electronica, pop-hooked, post-rock to The Little Room at Independent, Holmeside, Sunderland, next Thursday.

A full box of musical weapons will join the band on stage as glockenspiel, piano and violin fusions produce the band’s signature driving drum beats, group harmonies and electronic samples.

Among Brothers’ debut album has had critics hailing the group as one of the most exciting bands in the UK.

Their track, Sam, Isaiah and the Wolf, was chosen by Bethan Elfyn (BBC Introducing) as one of her tracks of the year alongside Warpaint, Foals and Islet.

Support comes from Sunderland bands Liars Lie and Spray On Jeans.

l Advance e-tickets are available from or in person from Hot Rats priced at £6.
