TONIGHT sees unusual three-piece Nedry take to the state at Independent, on Holmeside, Sunderland.

Since forming in early 2008, the trio have established a reputation for being one of the most exciting and unusual live bands around.

Fusing together trip-hop, dubstep and electronica and drawing comparisons to stars such as Bjork and Portishead, they are seen as one of the rising talents in British music.

Their genre-spanning music, has quickly managed to catch the attention of several BBC Radio 1 presenters, predominately Huw Stephens.

During the promotion of their debut album Condors in 2009, Huw played some of their tracks on his radio show and invited the band to the BBC’s Maide Vale Studios for a live session.

The resulting media attention led to the band signing with Monotreme records and Condors being released in Japan.

Earlier this year the band recorded another live session, this time for XFM with John Kennedy.

The band is on the road touring the UK, ending tonight at Independent’s The Little Room.

The band’s follow up album, entitled In A Dim Light, has been given a early 2012 release date with a full tracklisting already available on
