It’s Liam Gallagher’s first arena tour of his solo career and launching into an entrance track of Rock ‘n’ Roll Star just had to be done.
As you would expect from a tour named after his debut No 1 solo album As You Were, we were treated to some of my favourites For What It’s Worth, Paper Crown and Wall of Glass.
And the beyond excited crowd sang all the words to his new songs back to him as much as the Oasis classics of Morning Glory and Slide Away.
His stage presence is as awesome as ever and I went all fangirl and now can’t speak after the sell-out gig at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena.
My allegiance has always been with Liam and there’s a Beady Eye tune in my all-time Top Ten.
I could watch him make tea all day long.
And thank you, Mr G, for Cigarettes and Alcohol and Live Forever - I went home a happy Liam follower.
