Pink Floyd tribute act Shine One to play Sunderland’s Steels Social Club

TOP Pink Floyd tribute act Shine On are heading to Sunderland.

The act, who were voted as the UK’s Number 1 Pink Floyd Tribute three years in succession, will take to the stage at Steels Social Club in Pallion on April 25.

Formed in 2003, the band hail from the North East and faithfully recreate the music of their heroes.

Headlining their first festival in 2004, the band played to more than 12,000 people at the MAG Festival and were instantly rebooked for a return appearance in 2006.

A show at Newcastle City Hall was featured in the local media and drew attention by featuring one of the famous inflatable pigs, loaned to the band by none other than David Gilmour, guitarist with Pink Floyd.

Shine On’s 2014 show is a celebration of Dark Side of The Moon, along with excerpts from; The Wall, Meddle, Animals, Division Bell, Wish You Were Here and Momentary Lapse of Reason.

•Shine On play Steels on April 25. Doors open at 7pm with a show time of 8.30pm. Advance tickets, priced £8, are available from the venue with any remaining sold on the door on the night.
