BIG names Iggy and the Stooges, Plan B, Tinie Tempah, Katy B, Jamie Woon, Example and Annie Mac will be rocking the North East for the bank holiday weekend – and you could be there.

We’ve teamed up with the organisers of the Evolution Festival to give away two pairs of weekend tickets for the music extravaganza which takes place in Newcastle Gateshead Quayside on May 28 and 29.

The breakout star of 2010, Tinie Tempah, pictured, will be performing his number one hit Pass Out, as well as huge singles Frisky and Written in the Stars from his album Discovery.

Fellow Evolution act, Two Door Cinema Club, have also had a meteoric year – their euphoric, instant, indie anthems have cultivated a huge live following and they are sure to get the crowd going.

Leading the charge for North East talent, Detroit Social Club’s enormous grooves, terrace-style chants and addictive take on rock ‘n roll has seen them compared to Kasabian.

Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Fenech Soler also promise to be crowd pleasers.

The Evolution Festival has grown to become one of the North East’s biggest cultural events attracting 33,000 a day to Spillers Wharf and Baltic Square.

Tickets are usually priced £25 for a day pass or £35 for a weekend pass from
