Customs House Big Band returns home

The Customs House Big Band is returning to home turf for a much-anticipated annual visit.

The 18-piece band, under the direction of Peter Morgan, continues to go from strength to strength and, as usual, will feature the vocal expertise of Ruth Lambert – an award winning jazz singer from North Tyneside. The band will be presenting a foot-tapping programme of music taken from the standard Big Band repertoire and the library of the more recent jazz composers.

Ruth will be giving her own inimitable interpretation of songs for the American Song Book, ranging from Over The Rainbow to an up-tempo rendition of I Get A Kick Out Of
