A BUSKER who has regularly entertained shoppers is through to the finals of a television talent show.
Byrn Haswell, 19, can be seen performing in Durham city centre twice a week.
Now, after attending regional finals for the BBC’s UK Voice programme, he is through to next year’s grand final.
Bryn, who is from Newcastle, said: “I come to Durham because I think it is a better city than Newcastle - the people are friendlier here.
“It would mean everything to me to win, it would be such a fantastic boost to my career.”
Bryn, who is studying creative writing with the Open University, uses songs from his mobile to sing along to and a portable amplifier.
Some of his favourite songs he likes to perform include Nights in White Satin, Purple Rain and You Raise Me Up.
