TALENTED teen A*M*E is hoping to make her mark in the charts.

The 17-year-old promises to make “fun pop music, nothing too heavy, tragic, sad or anything like that”.

Despite appearing on the UK music scene just a few short months ago, the teen’s brand of infectious, 90s-inspired, quirky pop has already planted her firmly on the radar for 2012.

With one viral hit so far with City Light and the new Ride Or Die viral out now, she is already starting to turn heads.

Find out what all the fuss is about when she plays The Global Cafe, Newcastle city centre, on Sunday.

Her first release, City Lights, has already clocked up more than 140,000 views on YouTube and has been a favourite across pop blogs and websites both in the UK and U.S..

Ride or Die follows on from this and is another playful pop collaboration with MNEK.

Travelling from war-torn Sierra Leone at the age of eight, A*M*E grew up in South London and only finished school last year.

Since then she has been hard at work writing, recording and performing.

Ride or Die will be available to download on May 7, at www.facebook.com/theofficialame.
