It will be remembered as the only day of the weekend when the sun actually shone at the 30th Sunderland International Airshow.
The thousands of visitors who flocked to the seafront to enjoy the aerial displays as well as the entertainment on the ground certainly lapped it all up.
Although some displays were cancelled due to the slightly blustery conditions, there was still plenty to enjoy.
