A football freestyler is coming to town with his magically unique show.
John Farnworth is putting on three shows at East Durham College on Saturday.
The performer, who was seen on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, will be showing off his skills at the Willerby Grove campus, in Peterlee at 12pm, 2.30pm and 5pm.
The 29-year-old, from Preston, said: “It’s a football show first of all but is full of stuff I’ve been working on for the last year.
“It’s football tricks and skills but mixed in with magic and illusions.
“There’s lots of different things that have never been mixed together and I want to use that to encourage everyone, but mainly youngsters, to get involved in football and practice things like this.
“There was a time when I couldn’t do anything and I want to encourage people to do something positive by giving it a go.”
John has become known around the world as an innovative and influential football freestyler and has his own spot on children’s television.
He said: “This is quite a unique show. I do a piece on CBBC every week called Football Magic but I’ve got a lot of stuff in this show that I’ve never done on there.”
He added: “I’m really excited about bringing my show to East Durham College.

“I feel lucky to be able to put on these shows and there’s lots of new material in this one that I’m looking forward to sharing for the first time.
“I know there’s a big football following up there as well.”
