Fashionistas flocked to The Bridges as models took to the catwalk to launch a fashion weekend.
Top trends from retailers at the shopping centre were displayed in style for the first in a series of daily fashion shows.
The fashion weekend will run until Sunday with shows featuring outfits from Debenhams, Miss Selfridge, New Look, Next, Primark, Roman Originals, Select, Swarovksi, Topman, Topshop and TK Maxx.
The daytime shows will be running at various times across the weekend.
Centre director Andy Bradley said: “We have a wide variety of retailers at The Bridges with clothes for both men and women and for all ages.
“The Fashion Weekend gives us a fantastic opportunity to showcase what we have to offer in what promises to be a number of fun and exciting shows.
“We are delighted to see so many of our leading retailers getting behind the event and we look forward to welcoming lots of fashion-conscious visitors.”
Another highlight of the fashion weekend is set to be the Retail and Style Awards.
After weeks of voting, a red carpet will be rolled out at the shopping centre on Saturday night to see who will be crowned the most stylish in the awards run by The Bridges and Sun FM.
Among the nominees is theatre star Ben Forster, from Millfield, currently playing the lead role in Phantom of the Opera, who is in the running to be crowned Most Stylish Mackem
The ceremony will feature performances from Lawson, Brit-nominee Izzy Bizu and homegrown act The Lake Poets.
