Sunderland to host alternative market with quirky stalls and live music - here's when it's on
Luna Events is to host its second Alternative Night Market at Sunderland’s Roker Hotel with the return of gothic crafts and quirky stalls.
The evening market event is set to take place on Sunday June, 23 from 5pm to 8pm following its success the first time around.
There will be a variety of stalls selling an array of quirky, gothic, steampunk and mystical themed crafts and gifts as well as entertainment on the night in the form of live music. The hotel bar will be open throughout the event for refreshments.
Guests can purchase tickets in advance for quicker entry for £2 each, plus a booking fee, or pay £3 each on the day.
Children can enter for free but it should be noted that some items sold are not child appropriate and it is at a parent’s or carer’s discretion whether to bring them.
Free parking will be available at the front and back of hotel.
The first Alternative Night Market at the Roker Hotel took place on Sunday March, 10 and it was a huge success among guests and stall holders alike.
There were henna stalls, handcrafted jewellery, home accessories and amazing doughnuts from R Place, a North East-based speciality coffee shop.
The alternative markets also raise money for a chosen charity and have previously raised hundreds of pounds for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.
After the March market, more events were scheduled including one at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle.
