The American rockers announced a limited run of UK live dates to take place this summer, and will also be taking a trip down to Cornwall to headline the annual Boardmasters festival.

But it's the bands stop at Newcastle’s’ Utilita Arena on Tuesday 7 July that obviously has us most excited.

The full list of Kings of Leon tour dates is as follows:

The Nashville band's London date - their first in the capital in three years - will see them top the bill of a mini festival in its own right.

Courteeners, Cage The Elephant, Inhaler, Soccer Mommy, and The Big Moon are all set to support, with more acts set to be announced soon.

Support for the Leeds and Newcastle dates is yet to be announced.

How can I get tickets?

Tickets for Kings of Leon's headline dates go on sale on Friday 7 February at 9am. They will be available through Ticketmaster.

A pre-sale will be available to those signed up to either Live Nation or Ticketmaster's newsletters from 9am on Thursday 6 February.

Finsbury Park tickets are priced at £69.50 plus booking fee for general admission (VIP tickets are also available), while the arena dates are priced from £45 plus booking fee.

Tickets for the Boardmasters festival in Newquay are on sale now, and can be purchased through the event's website.

What might they play?

Obviously, Kings of Leon's live shows are some months away, so it's hard to predict with much accuracy what might be on the setlist.

Songs like 'Sex on Fire' and 'Use Somebody' are almost certain to get an airing, but what else can fans expect to hear come the summer?

According to setlist.fm, Kings of Leon's 'average' setlist in 2019 looked like this:

Crawl

Radioactive

On Call

Molly's Chambers

Supersoaker

The Bucket

Find Me

Fans

Over

Milk

Closer

Waste a Moment

Manhattan

Mary

The Immortals

Back Down South

Pyro

Notion

Sex on Fire

Use Somebody

Knocked Up

2020 marks the ten year anniversary of the band's fifth album 'Come Around Sundown', so perhaps a few choice cuts from that record will also be given a celebratory performance or two?

Will there be a new album soon?

Kings of Leon haven't released a new album since 2016's 'WALLS', so fans will be hoping that a new record will be due in the near future, maybe even tying in with this summer's shows.

The band have been quiet on the possibility of an eighth record, but one can fairly safely assume it is on the way.
