The Black Cats are currently just outside of the play-off places in League One following Saturday’s 2-2 draw against MK Dons, but could climb into the top six with a win over the Shrews.

The Wearsiders welcome Remi Matthews back between the sticks, with Lee Burge dropping to the bench, while Max Power also makes way for Connor McLaughlin.

@Philip_RJ89 tweeted: “Matthews for Burge is an interesting call. Jones in from the start is a very positive move, and once again, we’ve got some good options from the bench. I’ll say 2-0 to us, with Wyke and Jones on the scoresheet.”

@Mickeysafc20 tweeted: “Comfortably our best 11, that. Finally.”

@ewanb1992 tweeted: “Burge needed to be dropped, not looked convincing at all in previous games. O’Nien and Scowen will provide plenty of energy in the centre of the pitch. Looking forward to seeing Jones and Mcgeady playing on the wings. And we have the goal machine that is Charlie Wyke.”
