808 Bar and Kitchen - 21 St Thomas' St
There’s a full martini list at this bar consisting of a variety of different takes on the drink, all for £5.95 each. There’s the classics – served wet, dry or dirty and other favourites including French martini, Espresso martini and a black raspberry and lemon drop martini.
808 Bar and Kitchen opening times are Monday to Sunday 12pm til ‘late.’
Poetic License – Roker Terrace
The Poetic License Bar menu has 40 different cocktails and mocktails all of which can be enjoyed with a view of the North Sea. The bar also serves up cocktails and gins made at their very own distillery to keep things truly local.
Poetic License opening times are from 11am to 11pm on Monday to Thursday, 11am to 1am on Friday and Saturday and noon to 10.30pm on Sundays.
Port of Call – Park Lane
Although Port of Call specialised in rums, it has an extensive cocktail menu. Better still selected cocktails are two for £9 Sunday to Friday.
Port of Call opening times are from 11.30am to 11pm from Sunday to Thursday and 11.30am to 3am on Friday and Saturday.
Liberty Brown – Timber Beach Road
Liberty Brown specialises in giant sharing cocktails which include a huge pornstar martini for £22.50 or a giant zombie which is not for the faint-hearted.
Liberty Brown opening times are from 12m to 11pm from Monday to Thursday and Sundays. It is open until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Revolution Sunderland – Low Row, Victoria Buildings
A staple bar in most towns and cities, Revolution Sunderland has been serving up cocktails to the good people of Sunderland for over a decade. The best bit? It’s two for one on most cocktails during happy hour.
Revolution is open from 11.30am to 12am from Monday to Thursday and Sundays. It is open until 1am on Fridays and 2am on Saturdays.
