Houghton made it two wins out of two in Division Three with a convincing 45-7 win at West Hartlepool TDSOB.
Marc Willey opened the scoring with a try, converted by Daniel Bearn, only for the hosts to level with a converted try of their own.
Graeme Bennett crossed in the corner to put Houghton 12-7 up, after quick phase play, then Bennett struck again, sent in by Darren Witte, with Beard converting.
Stuart Hutchinson stormed through for a fourth Houghton score, Bearn converting, to make it 26-7 at the interval.
Three further tries confirmed Houghton’s superiority, with Jerrard Winstanley touching down on his debut, while Willey and Graham Hughes also notched. Bearn added two conversions.
