Four out for Seaham trip

SEAHAM travel to Axwell View to take on bottom club Winlaton Vulcans in Durham and Northumberland Division Two on Saturday.

Due to the unpleasant weather of previous months causing a fixture backlog, both clubs have agreed to incorporate their Durham Junior Cup semi-final into the tie and make it a double header.

Although Seaham will be missing full-back Glen Hardie, hooker John Dawson and back row forwards Dan Cahill and James Ramshaw (pictured below), they still have a strong squad to draw on.

Ben Bell’s men will be hoping to build on their victory over Winlaton earlier in the season and work towards securing their place in Division Two for next season.

All available players are asked to meet at Seaham Leisure Centre for 1pm.

Anyone likely to be running late or making their own travel arrangements is advised to contact club chairman Neil Roseberry on 07970 215240 or email

H Sunderland face a derby at on-song Horden in Division One on Saturday, while, in Division Three, Houghton visit Sedgefield and Washington entertain Hartlepool BBOB.

H Bottom club Durham City go to fifth-top Cleckheaton in North One East.
