From meeting the players to a pre-match coffee: What Sunderland fans miss most about matchdays

We all miss matchdays the way they used to be – the pre-game buzz, atmosphere inside the ground and post-match chatter with family and friends.

Hopefully those days will return soon and fans will be allowed back to the Stadium of Light to cheer on their side in person.

We’ve been asking supporters on our Sunderland Echo SAFC social media pages what their favourite parts of matchdays were, with many of you quick to get in touch and share your experiences and routines.

Debra Lowther said: Fan zone, meeting the players and meeting you with friends, the whole experience nothing like it x
