STEVE Skinner remains unbeaten after in Seaham’s Coors Brewery and Collinson’s Jewellers Knack Premier League after another comfortable 6-2 win over Neil Richardson.
The victory saw Skinner hit a maximum and a 110 checkout as he hit best legs of 18 (twice), 19 and 20 darts to move up to fourth place.
Neil Mather collected four points on the night. He first saw off John Allan, coming back from 3-0 down to win 6-4, helped by a maximum.
Later, he shared the spoils with Davey Thompson in a 5-5 draw, with an 18-dart leg and three 20-darters. Thompson’s best legs came in 14, 19 and 20 darts.
John Nicholson was a 6-3 winner over Alan Smith, with a maximum and a 120 finish helping him to victory.
Paul Williams remains top after he saw off an out-of-sorts Eddie Ashman 6-1, with a 180, two 16-darters and two legs in 18.
Anth Skelton beat Spiller Henderson 6-3 in a entertaining match, despite Henderson hitting two maximums, while John Redpath eased to a 6-1 success over Ray Malarkey with a 180 in a best leg of 15 darts.
Reigning champion Kevin Guy punished some slack finishing by Neil Rose in a 6-2 win.
Guy hit three 20-darters, while Rose won his two legs in 14 and 16 darts, including a 180.
Anthony Gale made it two wins in a row as he beat John Squire 6-2, with both players’ best legs coming in 19 darts.
However, Squire had more success later in the night as he fought off a spirited display by Dan Gillibrand to triumph 6-4.
