ONLY six games surivived in the Thorney Close League, as many games were cancelled, but it still set up a night of excellent darts.
Vince Lorraine overturned the formbook to defeat play-off chaser Andy Lincoln 5-2. Lorraine impressivley won legs in 18 darts and a pair of 21 darters including an excellent 111 checkout. Lincoln’s highlight was a 21 dart leg.
Walter Scott fell to a 5-2 defeat to Chris Jarvis, with both men hitting two maximums.
Sue Edwards and Ian Jarvis played out a stalemate, sharing the points in a 4-4 draw with both players playing some exciting darts.
Chris Bolam secured his finals night place with a 5-2 win over Steve Richardson. Superb legs from Bolam came in 15,20 and 21 darts with a 180 and Richardson’s best leg was a 21 darter taking out 90.
In the First Division Steve Carr beat fellow promotion chaser Colin Richardson 5-1.
Jack Revely also continued a push with a narrow 5-3 win over Dan Scott. Scott’s highlight was a 21 darter with Revely taking legs in 20 and 21 darts.
