WEARSIDER David Bolt has been handed a tough draw in the World Championship next month.

Bolt, now representing Stanley, must face former World Champion Wales John Price in the first round, with either Scotland’s David Gourlay or Robert Weale awaiting the winner.

In the pairs, Gary Smith and Lincoln’s Billy Jackson have been drawn against the Welsh duo of John Price and Jason Greenslade.

The event takes place at the Potters resort in Norfolk from January 9-25.
