KEVIN Guy moved to the top of the Knack Darts League with his unbeaten record still intact after a fine 5-3 win over John Redpath.

Guy’s highlights included 17, 15 and two 18-darters and 13 scores of 100-plus, plus a 101 checkout, with John’s best leg a 21-darter.

Neil Richardson was in outstanding form as he beat table-topper Paul Williams 5-1, Neil hitting winning legs in 21, 20, 24, 17 and 18 darts and Paul replying with a 21-darter.

Jimmy Ashett bounced straight back from his defeat last week with a fantastic display as he went on to win 5-2 against Eddie Ashman.

Ashett’s winning legs were breathtaking as he took out legs in 15, 13, 16, 15 and 16 darts, with two 180s and a 141 checkout, Ashman replying with two 20-dart legs.

Dawdon’s Phil Dunn had a fantastic result over Tyne and Wear county player Dave Thompson, winning 5-2 with Phil hitting 18, 19, 20 and 21-dart legs, Dave’s best leg being in 19 darts.

Last year’s winner Graham Mullen had to be at his best against in-form player Spiller Henderson.

However, it was Mullen who proved stronger, sweeping Henderson away 5-0 with winning legs of 14, 19, 20 and 23 darts and also hitting a 180.

Barry Rutherford beat Tyne and Wear county player Anth Skelton 5-2, even though Skelton hit a 180.

Mark Robinson defeated Martin Price 5-3, Robinson hitting a 152 checkout on his way to victory.

There was no splitting Ray Malarkey and Steve Skinner, both players hitting two 180s and 100-plus checkouts in a 4-4 draw.

It was the same score between Alan Smith against Anth Gale, both players hitting eight scores of 100-plus and Gale coming up with a 180.

The catch-up game between Steve Skinner and John Redpath ended with Skinner a runaway 5-0 winner.
