NEWCOMER Dan Gillibrand was swept aside by defending champion Kevin Guy in Seaham’s Coors Knack Premier League.
Guy (pictured) continued where he left off from last season with a maximum and winning legs of 15, 18, 20, 21 (twice) and 23 darts.
Paul Williams crushed Ray Malarkey by the same 6-0 scoreline with some impressive checkouts, including 102, 108 and 141.
Anth Skelton made it two wins out of two as he looks to break back into the top eight for the first time since the opening season. He won 6-2 against Alan Smith, with a 180 and a couple of 19-darters.
Davey Thompson cruised to a 6-0 win against John Allan, helped by a 180 and winning legs of 13, 16, 17 and 19 darts, while John Redpath collected his first points of the season, beating John Squire 6-1.
Eddie Ashman recovered from an horrendous start – a 3-0 deficit – to clinch a dramatic 6-4 victory against Neil Richardson, winning six of the last seven legs.
Neil Mather had to settle for a 5-5 draw against Steve Skinner, while Paul Gillibrand and Anthony Gale shared the points in another 10-leg thriller.
Gillibrand was unable to shake off a resilient Gale, who had best legs of 17 and 18 darts, while Gillibrand hit a maximum and won in legs of 17, 20 (twice) and 22 (twice).
Neil Rose defeated Superleague team-mate Spiller Henderson 6-2 to maintain his 100 per cent start.
Rose clinched the win with a 102 checkout, in 18 darts, while Henderson had legs of 18 and 20 darts, with a 120 finish.
