TONY Richardson finally got his first Thorney Close Darts Premier League win of the season by beating Darren Johnston 5-2, hitting two 21-dart legs on his way to victory.

Micky Callan was also in winning form, keeping up his unbeaten start with a comprehenisve 5-0 win over Jack Revely, scoring an 18-dart game to help him to his win.

The first game of the night saw Steve Carr draw with Alan Slight.

Carr’s best legs were a couple of 21-darters, while Slight managed two 19-dart legs and a 21-darter.

Walter Scott and Andy Lincoln also played out a draw, both players enjoying 17 and 19-darters.

Ian Wilkinson beat Dan Scott 5-2, with both hitting 20 and 21-dart legs.

Steve Richardson beat last season’s champion Marco Laybourn 5-3, Richardson finishing legs in 16 and 18 darts, while Laybourn hit a 180.

In Division One, Denny Cullen moved top with a 5-3 win over Tony Cummings, courtesy of two 20-dart legs plus a 180.

Paul Wilkinson drew with Adrian Burgess, both players hitting 21-dart legs, while the only other game saw Jamie Scott beat Adrian Burgess 5-2.

Scott’s best leg was in 20 darts with a 132 outshot.
