WEARSIDER David Bolt will face Angel’s Duncan Hanmore in the last 32 in the National Championship singles.

Should the Stanley player progress, a mouth-watering clash against Cyphers’ three-time world champion Andy Thomson should await in the next round.

In the pairs, Bolt teams up with Gary Smith and will face Riverain’s Tony Webb in the last 32. The National Championships take place at Melton Mowbray from April 3-12.

* The Durham County Champion of Champions finals will be played at Hartlepool next weekend.

In Sunday’s singles final (10am), newly crowned national Champion of Champion Paul Hartley (Hartlepool) faces Stanley’s Phillip Dixon.

The same players clash the day before in the pairs final (1pm), as Dixon teams up with Gary Farquhar.

The triples final will see Stanley’s John Thurlbeck taking on Hartlepool’s Gary Dougherty, while South Shields’ Ian Riches tackles Gateshead’s Mark Smith in the fours final.

* Stanley hosted the Ladies’ Home International series for the third successive year.
