Redby’s sole singles win belonged to Anthony Barella, who edged out Blake 11-9. The other Redby win came as Thompson conceded the doubles.

West CA A recorded an excellent 7-3 victory against St Gabriel’s A.

Dave Robson remained unbeaten in singles for St Gabriel’s. The West CA A team of Mark Cotton, Mark Shingler and Neil McMaster were simply too strong for Tom Bainbridge and Norman Pescod.

Redby CA A regained top spot in Division Two with a 7-3 win against bottom side St John A.

Ken Tweedy took his three singles for Redby, though he was extended to five ends by Craig Hilton.

Amanda Paxton chipped in with two wins and combined with Tweedy to win the doubles.
