STEELS pulled off a great 28-24 win away to league leaders Town End Farm in the quarter-finals of the Memorial Trophy.

The first rink ebbed and flowed but defending champions Steels managed to win 7-5.

In the second rink, Town End Farm were convincing 18-9 winners.

Going into the last rink, Steels skip Steve Moody tallied his team together and they powered to a 12-1 win to secure their semi-final spot.

Grindon also won through with a 26-18 away win at Farringdon.

St Leonards are in the draw for the semi-final after their 23-12 win at Silksworth Comrades.

Hetton, last year’s beaten finalists, complete the semi-final line-up having beaten Grangetown.
