JOHN Squire collected his first Seaham Knack Premier League points of the season when he battled to a 6-4 victory over Spiller Henderson

Squire moved up the table thanks to a maximum and a best leg of 18 darts. Henderson’s best legs came in 17, 18 and 20 darts, with a 110 checkout.

Alan Smith pushed Kevin Guy all the way in a 10-leg thriller, but Guy came out on top to win 6-4 and remain in second place.

Guy’s best legs were 17, 20 (twice) and 21 darters, with Smith’s best coming in 19 darts.

Paul Williams hit a maximum as he comfortably beat Anthony Gale 6-1.

Neil Rose showed his battling qualities as he recovered from 4-1 down to draw 5-5 against Eddie Ashman.

Ashman checked out a brilliant 156, and won his legs in 18 (twice), 19 and 22 (twice) darts, while Rose’s best were in 15, 16 and 20, with a 105 checkout his best finish.

Steve Skinner hit a 103 finish as he fought off the challenge of Dan Gillibrand.

Davey Thompson moved up to third when he put in a fine showing against John Redpath, coming out a 6-2 victor.

Earlier in the evening, Redpath produced an excellent performance to defeat Anth Skelton 6-3 after being 3-1 down.

Redpath’s winning legs were 15, 16, 20 and 21 darters, with Skelton winning in 16, 19 and 21 darts, including a 111 finish.

However, Skelton did pick up three points later as he ended Ray Malarkey’s revival with a 6-2 win.

Neil Richardson and Paul Gillibrand could not be separated as they shared the points in a 5-5 draw.
