LEE Rump made a stunning comeback to almost snatch victory away from Steve Richardson in the Premier Division of the Thorney Close Darts League.

Richardson romped into a 3-0 lead, but Rump responded in style by taking the next four legs.

Richardson halted Lee’s comeback by taking the last leg to draw. Both players hit 20 and 21-dart legs, with Rump bagging a 127 finish.

Andy Lincoln beat Vince Lorraine 5-1, Lincoln’s best leg being a 14-darter with a 180.

Marco Laybourn beat Anth Richardson 5-2, with three 20-darters and a 96 finish helping him along the way.

Micky Callan beat Walter Scott 5-1 courtesy of 17, 18, 19 and 20-darters, plus a 180.

Jack Revely drew with Chris Bolam, the latter hitting three 17-darters and Revely bagging a 118 finish.

Tes Charlesworth beat Anth Cummings 5-2 and Cummings also lost 5-2 against Micky Watson.

In Division One, Jamie Scott enjoyed a 5-2 win over Danny Cullen, with a 19-dart leg helping him to victory.

Adam Lafferty decisively beat Dennis Cullen 5-0, with a 19-darter being his highlight along the way.

Anth Devine ended his losing streak with a hard-fought 5-3 win over Jordan Cook, hitting a 19-dart leg with a 119 outshot on his way to victory.

Jason Allan beat Alan Grimes 5-1, with Allan’s best leg completed in 18 darts.

Dan Scott was also victorious over Alan Grimes by 5-1, helped by two 20-dart legs. Alan Garden beat Neil Hardy 5-2.
