RUGBY LEAGUE: Sunderland away to Pumas

Have your say

SUNDERLAND travel down the A19 to the current North East Premier champions Peterlee Pumas tomorrow.

And with Sunderland in good form, they will hope to make it three wins from three and take advantage of what has been a difficult season so far for the Pumas. Peterlee’s fixture was called off last week because of a waterlogged pitch, but they are out for revenge after losing at Sunderland earler in the season.

In that game, Sunderland marched into a convincing lead only for Peterlee to fight back well and in the end they were unlucky not to win the points as they were edged out 32-30.

Sunderland go into the game on the back of an excellent win at home to Gateshead Spartans last weekend with tries from Daniel Rundle (3), Derek Pocklington, Paul Munro, Raymie Elliot, Gary Peel and Dan Bamling. Chris Laycock scoring seven of his eight kicks at goal. Sunderland (players meet at STC at 12.30pm, for 2.30pm kick-off: A Pearson, D Rundle, M Lowrie, M Wilson, J Irving, M Bell, D Pocklington, C Laycock (C), R Elliot, A Towers, G Spencer, B Slater, G Ellison, G Peel, A Bolton, P Hardy, R Davison, O Whittaker, J Urqhuart, R Pink, A Hussain, MHubbert, M Tate, D Mackenzie, DScott, L Newall, S Spencer, T De Vies, D Williams, J Pocklington. Any players not listed are also to attend.
