STEVE Richardson had two maximums in a 5-3 success against Andy Lincoln as he climbed into third place in the Thorney Close Darts Premier League’s Premier Division.

He had best legs of 18 and 21 darts in sinking Lincoln, who also managed a 180.

Tom Davies managed two 4-4 draws, sharing the spoils with both Ian Wilkinson and Steve Carr. Davies had a brilliant 14-darter, and a 180, plus three legs of 21. Wilkinson posted a maximum and a best leg of 18, while Carr hit a 19-darter.

Second-top Marco Laybourn won legs in 16 and 17 darts in a 5-1 defeat of Steve Carr.

Leader Micky Callan bagged a 14th win in 18 games, 5-3 against Alan Slight, who had a 180 and leg wins in 17, 18 and 20 darts.

Callan’s best was a 21-darter with a 103 finish.

Darren Johnston pulled out an 18-darter with a 91 finish as he defeated Dan Scott 5-1.

Steve Dykes, a mid-season replacement for Lee Rump, made it four wins out of four since his arrival, sealing two more victories.

He thumped Paul Revely 5-1, with both players hitting 19-darters, and also saw off Walter Scott 5-2, with legs in 18,19 and 20 darts. Scott stole the show with a superb 14-darter.

Revely also drew 4-4 with Tony Richardson, with both men winning in 17 darts.

Jack Revely went down 5-2 to Vince Lorraine in a cracker. Lorraine hit a 180 and a 106 finish, while Revely sparkled in a 110 finish.

In Division One, Jamie Scott closed within four points of table-topping Denny Cullen after securing two wins, 5-2 against Tony Bryant and 5-0 against Danny Cullen, with best legs of 19 and 21 darts.

Alan Garden outgunned Anth Cummings 5-2, with both men having 21-darters.
