Plainsy win battle of the Farms

Have your say

PLAINS Farm ran out convincing 8-0 winners at home to Town End Farm in the D & P Trophy Sunderland Club Carpet Bowls League.

Plains Farm took control from the off and never gave Town End a chance.

Plainsy have now found the winning formula and team spirit to make a impact on the league title.

However, Town End need to find some of the form they had last season or it’ll be a long campaign.

Grangetown had a comfortable 7-1 win over St Leonards.

Grindon recorded another fine 7-1 win away at Hetton as they go from strength to strength.

Silksworth Comrades drew 4-4 with Steels after they had won the first two rinks and were in full control of the game.

However, Steels’ skip S.Moody, on last rink, had other ideas and made sure they gained a shre of the spoils.

Farringdon defeated NSCC 8-0 and the victory may give them renewed hope for the rest of the season.

As for NSCC, they are stuck at bottom of the table and need to find a win to kick-start their season.
