PLAINS Farm’s unbeaten run continued with an 8-0 win over Grangetown and they have to play their two main rivals in coming weeks.

Grindon dropped two points at home to Mitchells after winning 6-2.

They were on course for all the points but Mitchells’ skip, led by R. Boulton, had other ideas and claimed the two points on the last rink.

Town End Farm were held 4-4 away to Hetton as their title challenge continues to falter.

Silksworth Comrades were comfortable 7-1 winners over Steels, while Farringdon recorded a 6-2 home win over St Leonards to consolidate fourth position in the league.
