WASHINGTON Union and Pennywell Comrades B have withdrawn their application to join the winter season of the Westoe Removals Sunderland Snooker League.

Both clubs felt that they did not have enough committed players to guarantee completing the season’s fixtures.

The original fixture lists have been scrapped and the remaining teams will be split into two divisions of 14 teams.

The new divisions are:-

Division One: Washington Snooker A, Mill View A, Biddick A, Jordans B, Avenue, Steels A, Glendale, Washington Snooker B, Mill View B, Whitburn, Jordans A, Green Baize, Hylton A, Pennywell Comrades A.

Division Two: Lumley A, Seaham Knack, Railway, St Gabriel’s, Murton Vic, Victory, Pennywell Comrades C, Lumley B, Murton Officials, Biddick B, Seaham Cons, Cheemas, Washington Snooker C, Farringdon.

Representatives are reminded that the monthly meeting will be held at The Avenue on Thursday.

The sheets with the names of the players entering the knock-out competitions should be returned, to enable the handicaps to be agreed at the handicap meeting and the first rounds drawn.
