Spiller Henderson moved up a few places in the to Seaham’s Knack Darts Premier League after a 5-0 rout of bottom-placed Ray Malarkey.
Henderson enjoyed a couple of 20-darters, a 180 and a 116 checkout.
Paul Williams had to fight off a high-scoring Mark Robinson to gain the three points, with Williams’ best legs coming in 15, 18, 19 and 21 darts, as he came out a 5-1 victor.
Davey Thompson put in another sublime performance as he whitewashed Steve Skinner in legs of 18 (three times), 20, 24 darts, including a 113 finish.
Kevin Guy stayed second after a nervy win over Eddie Guy in the father versus son match. Guy had a maximum in a best leg of 16 darts.
Graham Mullen had legs of 15, 16, 18 and 21 darts as he beat Neil Richardson 5-2.
John Redpath’s impressive season continues after a 5-2 win over an improved display by Barry Rutherford.
Anthony Gale was a 5-2 winner in a scrappy match with Alan Smith.
Neil Rose’s poor form continued after two defeats on the night, which sees him looking over his shoulder after dropping two places to eighth.
First up was Anth Skelton and despite a strong start by Rose, Skelton came back to win 5-3.
Martin Price was next up for Rose, and once again Rose’s poor finishing cost him as he was beaten by the same scoreline. Price’s best legs came in 19 and 21 darts, while 18, 19 dart legs and a 180 were Rose’s highlights.
