BOLDON’S Gavin Nesbit clinched the Durham County Match Play Championship in storming style.

Nesbit used home course knowledge to his advantage to outgun Durham City’s Graeme Marchbank 6&4 in the final.

Nesbit had it tougher in the semi-final, when he was taken to a third extra hole before finally seeing off South Moor’s Christopher Handy.

Marchbank eased home 4&3 against Craig Walton (Chester-le-Street) in his semi-final.
