Kevin Guy strolled to victory over Neil Richardson in a one-sided match, while Eddie Ashman hit a maximum and had best legs of 17, 18 and 20 darts as he outgunned Paul Gillibrand 6-1.

Ray Malarkey secured another win when he defeated John Allan 6-3, while Neil Rose fought off a spirited display from Dan Gillibrand as Rose maintained his 100 per cent start with a 6-1 victory.

Davey Thompson had two games on the night. He first met Anth Skelton, with the first six legs being shared out.

However, Skelton took the next two legs with the help of a maximum to open up a 5-3 lead.

Skelton looked on course for an excellent win, but Thompson came back to win the final two legs to claim a 5-5 draw.

Thompson had better luck later in the night when he fought off a high-scoring performance by Alan Smith to win 6-1 and remain unbeaten.
