MARCO Laybourn clinched the Golden Fleece Darts Premier League title in an extraordinary climax.
Laybourn led 6-4 against Baz Walker in the final, only for his rival to win six legs in a row to go within one leg of victory.
But Laybourn had other ideas and then took the final five legs to claim a remarkable 11-10 victory.
In the quarter-finals which started finals night, Laybourn raced to a 7-0 victory over Jack Revely, including a 101 finish.
Walker fell 4-1 behind to Gary Richardson before levelling at 4-4.
The next four legs were shared on throw, taking the game into a decider.
Richardson was very unlucky when he wired his first two darts at tops ... and the last one then bounced out.
Walker kept his nerve and took 86 out on the bull to win the match 7-6.
Denny Cullen went 3-0 up against Sue Edwards, who hit back to level it up at 5-5.
Edwards took the next two legs to win the match 7-5.
The other quarter-final saw Steve Richardson beat Darren Johnston 7-3, including 114 and 109 outshots.
In the semis, Walker and Richardson shared the first 12 legs before Walker took the next three to reach the final 9-6.
Walker’s best legs were in 13 and 16 (twice) darts, with a 109 finish and two 180s.
Laybourn beat Sue Edwards 9-4 to claim his place in what turned out to be a very memorable finale.
