Houghton’s Veterans put in strong display

TWO of Houghton CC Veteran riders put in a strong performance in the Hartlepool CC Open 10 last weekend.

Herbie Taylor finished 47th in a time of 32 minutes and 45 seconds, whilst Joe Short completed the course in 34.46 to finish 49th.

In blustery conditions on the T105 course, the winner was Keith Murray with a time of 20.33.

Houghton CC also held their final event in the 9-mile Time Trial Series on Wednesday with Steve Gordon (Sunderland Clarion) riding home to victory in 21 minutes 33 seconds.
