EARL Cup Division Two leaders Sunderland suffered a 5-2 defeat at North Biddick, while Thompson Park beat Hylton CW 5-2.

Whitburn and South Hylton hammered out a tense 69-69 draw and Roker Park had a fruitful trip to Hetton Workmen’s, edging home by six shots.

Silksworth extended their unbeaten Division One run with a 5-2 win at Roker Marine.

Houghton Dairy Lane enjoyed a 7-0 win at neighbours Houghton Town, Barnes Park defeated Usworth by 20 shots and Ryhope recorded a 26-shot derby success at Seaham Town.

Herrington Workmen’s inflicted a 72-shot Third Division defeat on New Herrrington.

Houghton Dairy Lane crushed Barnes Park 7-0 to move top of the Swan Cup First Division, while Silksworth defeated South Hylton 6-1.

Storey Bowl leaders Hetton Workmen suffered a 5-2 defeat at Roker Park, while Wearmouth, Thompson Park and Seaham Town all won.

North Biddick and Usworth both received walkovers as holders Silksworth and Dawdon conceded their ties in the 3-2-1 knockout triples.
