DENNY Cullen sealed promotion from Division One of the Thorney Close Premier League ... after a defeat.

He went down 5-1 to Tony Cummings but other results went his way to seal Premier Division darts next season.

Cummings’ best leg came in 20 darts and he also threw a 180.

Paul Wilkinson beat Adrian Burgess 5-2, while Alan Garden beat Danny Cullen.

In the Premier Division, Steve Dykes moved to top spot with a 5-1 win over Steve Richardson.

He had a 15-dart leg, two 18-darters and a 19-darter. Richardson’s winning leg came in only 15 darts.

Walter Scott beat Jack Revely 5-0, while Micky Callan drew with Marco Laybourn. Callan’s best legs came in 18, 19 and 20 darts and he also hit a 180.

Laybourn’s best legs were in 18 and 21 darts and he also checked out on 111.

Darren Johnston drew with Ian Wilkinson with both players’ best leg in 21 darts, while Wilkinson also had a 180.

Tony Richardson drew with Tom Davies.
