Comeback king Walker rules the day

REIGNING league champion Baz Walker showed his class with a comeback victory in the Golden Fleece Premier League.

He fell behind 3-1 to Steve Richardson but then took the last four legs in convincing style with a 20, 15, 18 and 14-dart finishes, as well as a maximum 180 and a 104 outshot.

The first game of the night saw Micky Watson beat Owen Storey 5-0, with three legs won in 19 darts and one in 20 darts.

Sue Edwards started the season in great from by beating Denny Cullen 5-1. Her best leg was in just 13 darts.

There were 5-2 wins for Norman Place against Don Green, and Gary Richardson against Gary Bramley, including a best leg in 17 darts.

Darren Johnston beat Jack Revely 5-1, while John Doran went one better with a 5-0 win against Adam Lafferty with his best legs in 20 and 21 darts.

Andy Clark won 5-3 against Michael Seaman, who had the minor consolation of a 101 checkout.

Last seasons finals night winner Marco Laybourn started the new season with a defeat losing 5-0 Lee Rump Rumps best legs 20,21 plus 104 finish.
