Chris Bolam’s way out in front in the darts league

CHRIS Bolam stayed on top of the league with yet another title winning performance, with a superb 5-1 win over fellow high-flyer Mick Callan.

Bolam included a trio of 18 dart legs and a fantastic 144 outshot.

Alan Slight enjoyed two fine victories against Lee Rump and Tess Charlesworth respectivley. In his first match he edged a narrow 5-3 win, with two 18 dart legs. In his match against Charlesworth, Slight took the match 5-1.

Ian Jarvis won 5-1 against Vince Lorraine. Jarvis had a pair of 18 dart legs, a 21 darter with a 98 checkout in the win.

Andy Lincoln gained a tough victory against the up-and-coming Jack Revely. Lincoln’s highlights were a pair of 21 darters, which earned him the points in a final leg decider at 5-3.

Vince Lorraine bounced back from an earlier defeat to beat Mick Watson 5-3.

Watson shared the spoils with Marco Laybourn. Laybourn’s best leg was a 16 darter and Watson’s was a 21 dart leg.

Tony Richardson drew with Steve Carr. Richardson’s 92 checkout was the highlight of the match.

Steve Richardson hit two 21 dart legs, in response to legs of 17 and 21 darts, in an entertaining draw with Walter Scott.

Tess Charlesworth beat Mick Brown 5-2

In the First Division, Darren Johnston kept his 100 per cent record with a 5-3 win against Jordan Cook, in another top of the table clash.

Gary Richardson showed signs of improvement with a 5-0 win over Dawn Evans. Richardson had a pair of 20 dart legs and a checkout of 82.

Dennis Cullen won a family affair against Danny Cullen, due to a final leg decider, to take the match 5-3.

Alan Garden also shone with a 5-0 win over Neil Hardy.

Adam Lafferty romped to a 5-1 win over Shaun Turnbull, with a 180 and a 17 darter.

Dan Scott had mixed fortunes with a 5-3 win over Tony Bryant, despite earlier falling to a 5-2 defeat to Jason Allan.
