The Red Dragon Knack Premier Darts League Grand final takes place in Seaham on Tuesday.
Table-topper Dave Prins, from Peterlee, is the top seed after winning 59 of his 63 games, with three draws and just one defeat.
He is seeded to meet Sunderland’s Paul Williams in the final.
Williams finished the league campaign in second place with 56 wins, four draws and just three defeats - another magnificent effort in the best of nine leg format.
Prins lines up against eighth seed Geordie Morton in the quarter-finals, while Kevin Guy is first up to try to oust Williams.
Kevin Elliott and Davy Thompson finished third and fourth in the league standings.
They play Neil Rose and Lee Walton respectively in the quarter-finals, which are played over the best of 15 legs.
The semi-finals are played over the same distance with the final the best of 19 legs.
Play starts at 8pm on Tuesday and entry is free for spectators.
