We’re on a roll, says City boss

MANAGER Dickie Ord enthusiastically predicts that it is onwards and upwards for Durham City.

The former Sunderland defender was delighted with his team’s performance and result at Lancaster City on Tuesday night which saw them move into fourth place in the Evo Stik League Division One North.

He said: “I thought the lads were magnificent. Lancaster are a really good team and started the game ahead of us but I thought we matched them all over the park and thoroughly deserved the three points.

“It’s made a big difference having players coming back and I should have a full-strength squad on standby for tomorrow’s visit by Ossett Town to New Ferens Park.”

City have won their last three league games scoring nine goals and conceding only two while they have also racked up victory in the FA Trophy.

“Our only defeat in five matches was at Farsley in the League Cup when we fielded a weakened line-up.”

Rufus Ayre, who was unable to travel to Lancaster City, comes into the plans of Ord but the boss is not expected to make many changes to a winning side.
