TOTTENHAM Hotspur have entered the race to sign Chelsea striker Demba Ba, according to a report.
The Senegalese frontman has been consistently linked with Arsenal today, while former clubs Newcastle and West Ham have also been credited with an interest.
However, Sky Sports now claim that Spurs are ready to make a bid for the 28-year-old, who only moved to Stamford Bridge in January.
Tottenham have been linked with a number of strikers today, including Fernando Torres and Hulk, but have yet to make a decisive move.
It now appears that, with the clock ticking down towards the 11pm deadline, Ba is the man they want to bolster their attack.
Andre Villas-Boas’ striking options are currently Roberto Soldado, Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor, although the futures of the latter two remain unclear.
Rumours have also emerged that both Spurs and Arsenal have been knocked back by Chelsea in their bid for Ba, but the situation still remains unclear.
