TRANSFER TALK: Middlesbrough midfielder Faris Haroun joins Blackpool ready for Blackburn clash

MIDDLESBROUGH midfielder Faris Haroun has joined fellow Championship club Blackpool on a permanent deal.

The 28 year-old, who has six caps for Belgium, has joined the Seasiders until the end of the season, and goes straight into the squad for the Tangerine’s game at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Haroun joined Boro in 2011 from Germinal Beerschot, and made over 50 appearances in that time. However, after failing to make his way into Aitor Karanka’s plans at the Riverside, his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.

The Belgian is the fourth signing made by Barry Ferguson, who recently stepped up to oversee first-team matters at Bloomfield Road after the sacking of Paul Ince, and will be hoping he impresses the new man at the helm with the view to signing an extended contract at the end of the season.
