ARGENTINE midfielder Mauro Formica has been signed by Blackburn Rovers today on a four-year deal.
The 22-year old attacking midfielder joins from Newell’s Old Boys in his homeland and is Rovers second signing of the day after striker Ruben Rochina.
The youngster is a talented midfielder who is strong with both feet and can chip in with goals from midfield.
Steve Kean is delighted with the signing which is his fourth on the January transfer window after bringing Roque Santa Cruz, Jermaine Jones and Ruben Rochina.
The Rovers boss said: “Mauro is a fantastic talent, an attacking player who has been in great demand. He has great technical ability and is a typical Argentinian with a bit of fight and a bit of devilment in him.
“He’s an exciting talent and I must say that this transfer window has progressed really well for us.”
